DSPT news from your local Support Officers
We would like to say a huge thank you for your time and efforts completing the Data Security and Protection Toolkit over the last year. The DSPT has come along way in the last 3 years! We have seen a huge increase in the number of providers completing the toolkit, with a below 10% compliance rate in 2021 to 76.6% as of October 2024. This is all down to your commitment in keeping your resident’s data safe and moving with the fast paced digital world we now find ourselves in.
Better Security Better Care Awards
We have recently attended the annual Better Security Better Care Awards where we were lucky enough to come home with 3 trophies across the South West:
- Best Regional Collaboration for our collaborative working across the LSO’s in the South West.
- Most improved DSPT percentage for our work supporting Cornish providers for Cornwall Partners in Care. CPIC joined the programme late last year and had a mountain to climb to reach the 70% target set. Working with them, we have pushed the figures up by 21% in 3 months.
- Supporting Stakeholder Engagement – Mark De Bernhardt Lane - South West ADASS – for his commitment to working with all parties and linking workforces together.
These are your awards! Without you, this would not be possible. Again, we thank you for your support.
