Research-informed care homes workshops - Session 2

As part of the University of Exeter and Care Homes Knowledge Collaboration (ExCHANGE), colleagues at the University along with the Devon Care Homes Collaborative are running a course of workshops with the aim to provide people working in care homes with the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand and engage with research and research evidence.

These workshops are the first stage in developing a package of resources to support care homes, and link in with PenARC's Making Sense of Evidence programme.

Session 2: ‘Research-friendly’ care homes: How to find, assess and apply research evidence in my setting

15th July 2021 - 9.30am-12.30pm

Workshops are aimed at those who own, manage or work in care homes who have an interest in research and how research can improve practice in your care home.

Content:

• Understanding different types of research
• Learning how to find research evidence online using free resources
• Learning how to assess the quality of reported research, and its applicability to your situation
