Skills for Care: Improving your CQC rating seminar + practical toolkit

An interactive seminar for services who have fallen below CQC standards (rated either requires improvement or inadequate) and are looking for practical ways to recover and achieve a Good rating.

This full day facilitated session brings together frontline managers and others to learn about the step-by-step ways to drive forward improvements within adult social care services.

The seminar looks in more depth at issues introduced in Skills for Care’s Improving your CQC rating digital learning module. Completion of the digital learning module is not required to join the seminar.

This seminar will cover:

  • the benefits of making improvements
  • the impact of CQC regulations, notifications and breaches
  • what to avoid on your improvement journey
  • overcoming the barriers to improvement
  • involving in others in helping you to improve
  • practical problems and solutions
  • how to action and evidence improvements
  • maintaining quality
  • resources to support you.

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain an understanding of successful approaches to recover from a Requires improvement or Inadequate CQC rating.
  • Learn to map out how your service can address the obstacles to improvement and identify practical solutions.
  • Know what you will be expected to evidence and how to demonstrate issues have been successfully addressed.

Expectations of participants

In order that all participants get the very most out of the seminar we ask that cameras are kept on for the duration of the seminar to support facilitation, interaction and accessibility.

The toolkit:

A 70-page practical toolkit, (and a certificate of attendance) will be provided for participants to download upon completion of the seminar.

This comprehensive takeaway brings together key learning and activities from the seminar into a practical resource which participants can use back in the workplace.

Payment in full is required ahead of the seminar taking place. Failure to pay will result in your registration being cancelled.
