Learning Objectives:

To improve knowledge and understanding about the anatomy and physiology of swallowing and illnesses affecting swallow function.

To be able to make an assessment of a person's swallow and know when to refer for specialist support.

To improve confidence in the care and management of someone with swallowing difficulties.
- To consider the communication and ethical decision making skills for people at end of life and how we can best support worried relatives and carers.
