Learning Objectives:

  • To improve your confidence and skills in communications with patients and those important to them at end of life.
  • To address common emotive conversations based on your own prior experiences.
  • To work together in small groups to practice scenarios using evidenced based strategies and models. 

Prerequisites:

Those applying should have a good knowledge of fundamental and effective communication skills and have undergone prior training. This day is aimed at those working regularly and directly with people at end of life who will bring, and work with, examples from their practice in areas for improvements. You must complete a pre and post course questionnaire related to skills. Minimal bookings will be required to run this event.
