Skills for Care: Being prepared for CQC inspection seminar + practical toolkit

Thursday 14th November 2024 from 10:00 until 15:30

An interactive seminar for services who want to understand the practical ways to be ready for their CQC assessment.

This full day facilitated session brings together frontline managers to learn about the step-by-step ways to be ready to evidence that your service meets CQC expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating.

This seminar is primarily aimed at those less familiar with the CQC assessment process, including newer frontline managers, quality leads and other members of the staff team helping the service to prepare.

The seminar looks in more depth at issues introduced in Skills for Care’s Being prepared for CQC inspection digital learning module. Completion of the digital learning module is not required to join the seminar.

This seminar will cover:

  • why CQC assessment is important
  • CQC standards and legislation
  • CQC monitoring and assessment process, including ratings
  • involving others in the assessment process
  • the importance of quality assurance
  • evidencing that you meet CQC standards
  • latest insight into CQC priorities.

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain an understanding of successful approaches to being ready for the CQC assessment.
  • Learn to map out how your service can prepare your staff team for CQC assessment.
  • Know what you will be expected to evidence and how to demonstrate your service meets or exceed what the CQC expect.
