The award for Digital Champion was presented to

(Director of Bay Court Nursing Home)
Dominique Lloyd, Director of Bay Court Residential and Nursing Home, is always looking to improve her knowledge and skills.
She continues to implement good data and cyber security practice within her organisation and is willing to go that extra mile for the good of her team and residents.

The award for Outstanding Service was presented to
Geoffrey Cox
(DCHC Director, CEO of The Eden Alternative UK and Managing Director of Southern Healthcare)
Geoffrey has over 24 years of experience working in social care. As the Managing Director of Southern Healthcare, Geoffrey and his team have recently been awarded four national awards for their commitment to training and development. His passion for development is also apparent in his role as CEO for Eden Alternative UK, which teaches a model of care that is designed to enrich wellbeing, fulfilment and quality of life for those who live and work in care. As a Director of DCHC, Geoffrey continues to represent the collaborative at various meetings across the country, advocating for positive change in the sector.

Mei-Ling Huang, Partner at RWK Goodman, gave an interesting and relevant review of the recent court case, SARCP (a body of care providers in Staffordshire) v Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Rob Smith, Digital Skills Lead at Skills for Care, and Marta Bascunan, Operations Manager at Better Security, Better Care, spoke about digital skills and cyber resilience in adult social care.

James Sage, Partner at RWK Goodman, delivered an insightful presentation on the current changes to employment law.

Jock Waugh, Director of Kieran Lynch, gave an informative talk on the key considerations for VAT welfare restructuring.

Indago Development’s Bhavin Tailor and Meg Ryder-Green spoke about the importance of developing and maintaining a learning culture in our homes.

Lastly, Geoffrey Cox, CEO, talked about the positive learning opportunities with Eden Alternative UK.
